Wildlife Protection Alliance (WPA)

Wildlife around the world are being threatened by human interaction. Join the Wildlife Protection Alliance, a 503(c) non-profit and commit to respecting the wildlife we love so much.

WPA is a global organization committed to the protection and conservation of wildlife by educating and influencing global leaders & individuals on best practices for interacting with wildlife

Current project: building an animal hospital

Part of WPA’s mission is to build wildlife sanctuaries around the world that exemplify our standards of care. We are building a animal hospital at Sol Sanctuary Retreat Center (under the yoga shala) in Playa Grande. It will allow us to assist terrestrial and marine wildlife that have been injured by human interaction such as electrocution, vehicle accidents, and wildlife trafficking.

respect.

The Wildlife Protection Alliance, in consultation with animal behavior experts, has developed animal welfare standards that set the parameters within which humans should interact with wildlife in a safe manner. The key tenet behind these standards is - RESPECT THE WILDLIFE.

protect.

Many organizations and influencers are claiming to be conservationists when in reality their wildlife interactions are damaging to the animals or to the public’s perception of these animals. Our goal is to redirect these activities in a positive way that protects vulnerable animal populations as well as humans.

connect.

The Wildlife Protection Alliance is a community of likeminded animal conservationists who commit to joining forces to protect what we love. Being a member of the WPA means you are a part of a growing circle of individuals and organizations that are putting animal welfare and conservation first.
